MOSCOW (Sputnik) – According to the witnesses, the huge explosion occurred in the village near the airport at 4:20 p.m. local time (15:20 GMT) and was followed by several blasts, which were less loud, the Sun newspaper reported.
According to the newspaper, a plume of steam may be seen near the airport.
The airport announce delay of flights as the local authorities check the incident’s consequences for the airport’s functioning, according to the Sun.
