CHISINAU (Sputnik) — The organization of presidential elections in Moldova complies with the international requirements, the head of the Interparliamentary Assembly CIS Council Secretariat said Monday.
"The Central Electoral Commission has demonstrated the desire to hold the elections of Moldova's president openly and transparently. The mission's experts believe that the electoral legislation of Moldova is in line with international standards," Alexey Sergeev said at a press conference.
The election campaign was conducted in a free and open atmosphere, he noted, adding that all the candidates were given equal opportunities to promote their campaign via media outlets.
