According to the NDTV broadcaster, three women and two children were killed in the disputed Jammu and Kashmir state in northern India. Pakistani military targeted several sites, according to the broadcaster.
Over 60 ceasefire violations have been registered on the India-Pakistan border since September 29, the broadcaster noted.
At the same time, media reports emerged earlier in the day with reference to the Pakistani army press service that at least four people were killed and five injured in Pakistan's Nakyal sector located along the Line of Control.
The recent escalation of violence across the India-Pakistan border came after 19 Indian soldiers died as a result of the September 18 attack by armed militants on a base outside of Srinagar, the capital of India-administered Kashmir.
