MOSCOW (Sputnik) — At least two members of the Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) opposition movement died during clashes with police, a senior opposition member said.
Earlier in the day, hundreds of PTI supporters attempted to enter the Pakistani capital of Islamabad to join a major anti-government meeting, due to be held on Wednesday. According to media reports, PTI Head Imran Khan demands current Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to step down, as he had allegedly been engaged in rigging the elections and corruption.

At least two party members died due to excessive use of "expired" tear gas shells by authorities, Vice Chairman and Deputy parliamentary leader of PTI Shah Mehmood Qureshi said, as quoted by the Geo TV broadcaster.
In late October, media reported that the Pakistani government banned all political meetings and protests in the capital, Islamabad, ahead of the November 2 planned opposition march.
