JAKARTA (Sputnik) — On Tuesday, media reported that Jakarta could buy up to 10 Russia-manufactured fighters.
"Bilateral talks on the delivery of Su-35 multirole fighters are being conducted very actively," Goreslavsky told RIA Novosti on the sidelines of the Indo Defence 2016 Expo and Forum.
The official added that the purchase of the jet fighters would allow Indonesia to secure the country's aerial borders for a long time.
On November 2-5, the Indonesian capital of Jakarta hosts Indo Defense 2016 Expo and Forum. The Russian defense industry is demonstrating Su-35 jets, T-90S tanks, Buk-M2E air defense systems and BMP-3M infantry combat vehicles among other vehicles and pieces of equipment at the exhibition.
