KIEV (Sputnik) — US Vice President Joe Biden plans to travel to Ukraine soon in a show of support for the nation’s new government, the press office of the Ukrainian cabinet announced Thursday.
"Joe Biden noted government’s progress six months into its tenure, reaffirmed continued support from the US administration, and informed about his plan to pay a visit to Ukraine soon," the Ukrainian cabinet said.
The statement came after a phone conversation between Biden and his Ukrainian counterpart, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.
