TALLINN (Sputnik) – Savisaar announced on Friday that he was not going to take part in the Saturday meeting of "Ratas’s friends" as its results have already been "predetermined."
Under Savisaar’s leadership, the Centre Party has been standing for friendly relations with Russia. However, Savisaar’s influence in the party declined after corruption allegations against him that led to him being suspended from the post of Mayor of Tallinn in September 2015.
Estonia’s Centre Party is one of the largest in the country and has 27 out of 101 seats in Riigikogu.
