WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — On Thursday, Chief of the Russian General Staff Main Operational Directorate Lt. Gen. Sergei Rudskoy said US Air Force carried out an attack on October 26 in a residential neighborhood in the central part of Hammam al-Alil that affected civilians and caused damaged to the mosque.
“We are not tracking any strikes in the area of Hamam El Elil,” the press office said. “We take all reports of non-combatant casualties seriously and assess all incidents as thoroughly as possible.”
“The Coalition adheres to targeting processes and procedures aimed to minimize risks to non-combatants,” the press office said. “Extraordinary efforts are made by the Coalition to identify and strike appropriate targets in order to avoid non-combatant casualties.”
According to the Russian General Staff, on October 31, densely populated neighborhoods of Bazvaya and Gogieli near Mosul were also subjected to massive bombing by the US-led coalition.
