PKK Leader Promises to Respond to Detention of Pro-Kurdish Politicians in Turkey
MOSCOW(Sputnik) — The attackers threw Molotov cocktails at the cafe, located on the first floor of the building owned by a Turkish national, the Daily Sabbah newspaper reported. The owner of the building said that approximately 10 attackers hit the cafe late on Friday, while the visitors were inside, causing a small fire and damaging the windows, according to the newspaper.

"I don't know who dares to carry out such an attack when there are people inside," the owner was quoted as saying by the newspaper.

The perpetrators reportedly covered their faces with the scarves used by the PKK, an investigation into the attack was launched.

Tensions between Ankara and the PKK escalated in July 2015 when a ceasefire between the sides collapsed over a series of terror attacks allegedly committed by the members of the group, which is outlawed in Turkey as a terrorist organization.
