ANKARA (Sputnik) – The newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief Murat Sabuncu was among the arrested journalists, the NTV broadcaster reported.
On Monday, police in Istanbul detained Sabuncu and 12 of the newspaper's journalists and managers, adding to a trend in which more than 160 media outlets have been closed since the failed coup against the government in July.
On July 15, the failed military coup led to more than 240 deaths and injuries to over 2,000 other people before it was suppressed the following day.
