Afghan Information Minister Resigns Over Health Issues - Ministry Spokesman
21:10 GMT 06.11.2016 (Updated: 01:29 GMT 08.11.2016) Abdul Bari Jahani, Afghan Minister of Information and Culture, has handed his resignation letter to President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, ministry's spokesman Haroon Hakimi said Monday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Jahani submitted his letter to the president on Saturday, citing health issues as the reason for resignation, Hakimi told the TOLOnews broadcaster.
Jahani assumed the post in April after his nomination was supported by a unanimous vote in the lower house of the parliament.
