US-Balkans Relations Likely to Deteriorate Under Clinton’s Presidency

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Obradovic noted that Clinton was likely to pursue the policy of “US exclusivity, which, among other things, means military interventions, threats and blackmailing sovereign countries regardless of international law."

"One thing is absolutely certain: Hillary Clinton will never adopt friendly policy regarding Balkans, and especially Serbia. She is a clear exponent of interests of multinational corporations and US military industry and she will continue to see this entire region as a very important geostrategic position against Russian interests," Bosko Obradovic said.

"We Serbs will never forget her crucial role in bombing of Serbia by NATO forces and formation of criminal enterprise, the so called independent Kosovo," the party chairman stressed.

In 1999, Bill Clinton with the support of his wife authorized NATO bombings against former Yugoslavia, which consisted then of Serbia and Montenegro, over alleged repressions of Albanians in Kosovo.

Serbian human rights groups estimate that over 2,000 civilians and 1,000 security personnel were killed and thousands more wounded in the NATO operation.
