WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Clinton's lead has slipped since mid-October, when she was up by 12 points, but is higher than her four-point lead in September, the pollster noted.
"Currently, 50 percent of likely voters support Clinton and 44 percent back Trump, with 4 percent supporting Libertarian Gary Johnson and 1 percent backing Jill Stein of the Green Party," the poll found.
Monmouth University Polling Institute Director Patrick Murray said Clinton's support has remained fairly steady, around 50 percent, while Trump's has been more volatile.
The poll was conducted by telephone from November 3-6, and has a 3.5 percent margin of error.
