MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the statement, the two ministers discussed a cross-border cooperation between Finland and Russia as well as fighting against organized crime, illegal migration and drug trafficking.
"Talking about the Russian-Finnish cooperation in law enforcement area, Kolokoltsev noted that at the moment it has a positive dynamic as well as a necessary level of partnership confidence," the ministry statement read.
The Finnish interior minister is also expected to meet with Russian Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov and Federal Security Service Director Alexander Bortnikov.
Rissiko's visit to Moscow kicked off on Monday to last through Tuesday.
