MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Observers from Russia and Belarus are expected to carry out inspection of military activities in Denmark on November 7-11, the head of the Russian Defense Ministry's Nuclear Risk Reduction Center said Monday.

"On November 7-11, a joint Russian-Belarusian group of inspectors plans to conduct an inspection of the given area of Denmark's territory, within the framework of the Vienna Document 2011 on Confidence- and Security-Building Measures [CSBM]," Sergei Ryzhkov said.

According to the official, the inspection will either reveal the scope of military activities in the area or confirm the absence of any activity.

The CSBM is part of a series of agreements signed between the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) member states on the exchange of information on military forces, budgets and defense planning.

Inspection visits are carried out to verify information about military forces and plans for deployment of major weapons systems and military equipment.
