WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — During the Monday’s hearing, which was held after Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act request, State Department officials admitted that Clinton did not turn over some 2,100 emails as legally required.
"State [Department] admits today it has 31,000 pages of Clinton material from FBI. Wanted as long as five years to turn it all over. Court skeptical," Fitton tweeted.
On October 28, Comey announced the FBI would reopen the previously closed investigation into Clinton's use of a private server for official use during her tenure as secretary of state from 2009 to 2013. The decision was predicated upon the FBI discovering a new batch of 650,000 emails on the computer of the estranged husband of top Clinton aide Huma Abedin.
During the Monday hearing, the State Department claimed that it knew nothing about the newly found email messages, Judicial Watch added.
