WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Clinton said she hopes that Trump will facilitate national conversation, if she wins the election.
"I hope that he [Trump] will, if I’m successful, play a constructive role in … coming together — bring people who supported him to the table so that we can have the kind of national conversation we should have," Clinton said in an interview on the "Mojo in the Morning" radio show.
Asked whether she thought she could be friendly with Trump after the elections, Clinton said "I would hope so."
The US presidential elections are being held on Tuesday, November 8. Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and her Republican rival Donald Trump are the main contenders for the post of the new US leader.
Local media reported citing an early estimate on Tuesday afternoon that Clinton was leading in six out of the country's seven swing states.
