Earlier in the day, Allison Riggs, a senior attorney with the Southern Coalition for Social Justice in Durham, said that thousands of cases of missing registrations have been reported throughout North Carolina from voters who tried to register through the state Department of Motor Vehicles.
Voting in the United States is underway, the polling stations will be closing at midnight EST (05:00 GMT November 9). The major candidates are Hillary Clinton from the Democratic Party and Republican nominee Donald Trump.
