MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the statement, Sputnik received a message on the issue from the Twitter support team.
During the day, Sputnik will fully restore the content of its Twitter account’s news wire and will continue to work as usual.
In addition, Sputnik launched an information campaign on its Twitter page to cover the US presidential elections, that is set to include real-time polling data and experts’ commentary on the issue.
On Sunday, Sputnik’s press service said that its English-language Twitter account had been hacked. The unknown hackers changed the account’s name to Matt Curtis, while also transforming the page’s design. No other actions of the hackers had been detected.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said on Saturday that Russia expected the United States to make legal assessment of these reports.
