MOSCOW (Sputnik) – According to the CNN channel, Trump’s lawyers asked for relief should "the election of presidential electors from the State of Nevada [be] contested" after Joe P. Gloria, the Clark County Registrar of Voters made a decision to keep stations open "two hours beyond the designated closing time."
Nevada, one of the key battleground states in Tuesday's presidential election, has become one of Republican nominee Donald Trump's big hopes for victory with the state's six electors voting for every winning candidate since the early 1980s.
The Real Clear Politics average of national polls is highly uncertain and has fluctuated wildly throughout the presidential campaign. Trump may come out on top in the end after gaining a lead of 0.8 percentage points over his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton (45.8 percent versus 45 percent) in the run up to the election. Previously, Clinton led by similar margins.
