WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US Justice Department reviews all election complaints individually, and does not make public specific information on the numbers of complaints and their subject matter, the department’s spokesperson Peter Carr told Sputnik on Tuesday.
“For each election, complaints are received and reviewed on a case-by-case basis,” Carr said when asked if the department is following the reports of voting violations. “For a variety of reasons, as a matter of policy we do not provide statistics on the number of complaints each office is receiving or the nature of those complaints.”
