PARIS (Sputnik) – Earlier in the day, Trump won by a landslide with 276 votes to succeed Obama. The Congress is scheduled to approve the results of the voting on January 6, 2017. The US president-elect will take office at the inauguration on January 20.

Obama is depicted on Charlie Hebdo's fresh cover running away from police officers who are trying to shoot him, and the inscription next to the picture says Obama is currently "like any other citizen."
Obama has served two terms as US president, beginning the first presidency in 2009. He is the first African-American to hold the office and the first president born outside the continental United States.
