Hillary Clinton is delivering her first speech since her defeat to Donald Trump in the US presidential election.

Today, on November 9, Trump won the US presidential elections with 276 electoral votes against Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton's 218 votes.

Addressing the crowd of her supporters, Clinton said that she congratulated Trump on victory and offered him to work together.

"Last night I congratulated Donald Trump and offered to work with him on behalf of our country. I hope that he will be a successful president for all Americans," Clinton said.

Clinton stressed that she thinks the US is more divided then she thought.

She also said that she was disappointed with the outcome of the election: "It's painful."

Talking about her counterpart, Clinton said that, since Donald Trump is going to be president, should be "given a chance" to govern.

She then said that peaceful transition of power is the cornerstone of the US democracy.

Hillary Clinton then moved to thank her family, as well as saying that the US owes president Barack Obama and the current First Lady, Michelle Obama, "enormous debt of gratitude."

Addressing her female supporters, Clinton said that nothing has made her prouder than to be their champion.

"To all the little girls who are watching this, never doubt that you are valuable and deserving of every chance to pursue your own dreams," Clinton said.

She concluded before walking off the stage: "May God bless you and may God bless the United States of America."
