MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia will adopt response measures to the European Union's expanded sanctions list, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.
"Russia will take appropriate response measures," the ministry said in commentary to the press after the EU official journal published its sanctions list adding six Russian lawmakers from Crimea.
"We perceive restrictive EU measures against the residents of Crimea and Sevastopol as unwarranted collective punishment of this region's population for the free democratic expression of their will," it added.
