Russia will remain a key issue on the international agenda of the new US president's administration, US Ambassador to Russia John Tefft said on Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) He told reporters that China, developing of trade ties and relations with NATO allies will also remain high on the US agenda.

Tefft added that, in his opinion, there will be no new "reset" of relations between Russia and the United States, but the sides are likely to cooperate on the most pressing issues, including national security.

The US presidential elections were held on Tuesday, November 8. Republican candidate Donald Trump has a chance of over 95 percent to win in the presidential election, The New York Times reported basing on preliminary results.
