Former foreign policy advisor of Donald Trump told Sputnik he is confident the Republican candidate is going to win the US presidential election.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Carter Page said he's sure Trump will win.

"Yes, he [Trump] will win," he told Sputnik.

At the moment, Trump is leading in four of six electoral battlegrounds — Florida, Ohio, North Carolina and New Hampshire — while Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton is ahead in the key states of Pennsylvania and Virginia.
