Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon stated that Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential elections was not the outcome she hoped for.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Racism, misogyny and intolerance in general cannot be justified by economic alienation, Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said Thursday, commenting on Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential elections.

"There is no doubt whatsoever that many people feel economically alienated… but what we must never allow to happen is those legitimate issues to ever give a veneer of respectability to racism, to misogyny, to intolerance in general," Sturgeon said addressing Scottish parliament.
