MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Syria is ready to cooperate with US President-elect Donald Trump if his policies coincides with expectations of Damascus, an adviser for Syrian President Bashar Assad said Thursday.
Speaking to the NPR media organization, Bouthaina Shaaban expressed hope that the United States would become an active participant in the fight against terrorism, Al Watan newspaper reported. According to her, should Trump’s policies coincide with Damascus’ expectations, it is ready for any cooperation with the United States and any other countries which respect Syria’s sovereignty and do not get involved in Syria’s affairs.
