DNC Interim Chair Donna Brazile Teases Upcoming Changes
01:58 GMT 11.11.2016 (Updated: 11:23 GMT 06.08.2022) Donna Brazile, who became interim head of the Democratic Party after WikiLeaks revealed efforts by party bosses to deny the nomination to US Senator Bernie Sanders, hinted at upcoming changes following the surprise defeat of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, according to a series of Tweets.
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — A series of announcements will be made in the upcoming week, according to a series of Brazile's tweets.
"Next week, I will make several important and vital announcements. Stay tuned," one tweet from Brazile tweeted on Thursday.
10 November 2016, 22:40 GMT
At the height of the 2016 US presidential campaign, Brazile was forced to resign as a contributor to CNN after WikiLeaks revealed that she had fed questions to Clinton in advance of two presidential debates.
That scandal also helped brand CNN with the unflattering moniker, Clinton News Network, amid other charges of bias the network’s coverage of the campaign.
"During this period of transition — of reviewing everything we did right or wrong, there will be a process to allow everyone to have input," Brazile said in an earlier tweet.
Clinton’s loss to President-elect Donald Trump has thrown the Democratic Party into a tumultuous period of accusations and recriminations over a campaign that imploded amid a dizzying cascade of scandals.
