MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On October 27, the OPCW-UN Joint Investigative Mechanism (JIM) expert panel released the fourth report, which, in particular, claimed that the government of Syrian President Bashar Assad had used chemical weapons at least three times in the country throughout 2014-2015.
"Syria regrets the decision made by executive council of OPCW concerning Syria at a vote that was beyond the scope of the organization's responsibilities and that demonstrated the schism tendency among the member states," Syrian Foreign ministry said in a statement quoted by SANA news agency.
On Saturday, the Russian Foreign Ministry also expressed regret over the OPCW decision.
