MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Protests erupted in multiple US cities after it became clear on Wednesday that Republican Party nominee Donald Trump would win the presidency, prevailing over his Democratic rival Hilary Clinton. According to media reports, about 500 people initially gathered at Statehouse in Indianapolis, shouting anti-Trump slogans.
"IMPDNOW: 3 arrests and 2 officers injured after protesters threw rocks at officers trying to keep the peace in downtown," the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said via Twitter.
According to the police, no traffic restrictions were imposed in the downtown area amid protests, while pedestrian sidewalks were heavy, but clear.
