NEW YORK (Sputnik) Tatiana Lukyanova — Hundreds took to the streets over the weekend to voice their opposition to President-elect Donald Trump.
"From Friday until Sunday there have been total of 13 arrests," Davis said.
"Not My President," "No Country for Old White Men," "Stand Against Hatred" posters have been spotted around the Trump Tower in Manhattan.
"I'm not going to stand here and watch as a racist bigot takes over my country!" a protester told Sputnik. "Donald Trump has to go!"
Numerous demonstrations, pickets and rallies took place last week throughout the United States in wake of Tuesday presidential elections, and more are scheduled this week.
As of Monday, 56th Street and Fifth Avenue in front of New York's Trump Tower remain blocked off from the pedestrians, and sand trucks still surround the building's perimeter.
