MOSCOW (Sputnik) — During Trump's campaign, he had been repeatedly asked a question on tax returns release, but Trump argued that he could not reveal the information because of a routine audit.
"At the appropriate time, I will release them. But right now I’m under routine audit. Nobody cares. The only one who cares is, you know, you and a few people that asked that question. Obviously, the public didn’t care because I won the election very easily. So they don’t care. I never thought they did care," Trump said.
Republican candidate Trump gained 289 electoral votes, in the November 8 presidential election, 19 more than 270 needed to win.
