"The report by Qatari TV channel Al Jazeera, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and similar sources about an alleged bombing by Russian Aerospace Forces' jets of a 'third hospital over 24 hours' in Aleppo are simply a lie," Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said.
He emphasized that no Russian strikes have been conducted in Aleppo for 28 days.
"In the framework of massive cruise missile strikes on Daesh and al-Nusra Front positions [in Syria], there was no target located in Aleppo."
Earlier in the day, Russian Admiral Grigorovich frigate targeted Daesh and al-Nusra Front terrorists in Syria's Homs and Idlib provinces with Kalibr cruise missile strikes.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, ammunition depots, terrorist training centers and plants producing different means of unconventional weapons are the main targets of the Russian strikes in Syri.
