DAMASCUS (Sputnik) — According to the Russian military, some 30 Syrian servicemen were poisoned in a chlorine gas attack by militants in eastern Aleppo on Sunday.
The Sunday attack was the third chemical attack by militants in Aleppo in the past two weeks, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
"Syria demands that the OPCW send its experts to investigate chemical attacks by terrorist organizations, including the use of poisonous gases," the letter obtained by RIA Novosti on Tuesday said.
On Monday, the Russian Defense Ministry said that samples taken in Aleppo prove that militants used chlorine gas in their attacks.
