MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the Zeit newspaper, the operation, with about 200 searches conducted, is aimed at finding evidence that the organization preaches radical Islamism. Hundreds of police officers are said to be involved in searches in 10 regions of Germany.
"The police started an operation against a salafi organization across the country at 06:30 a.m.. Further information will be published at 9:00 a.m.," the ministry said on Twitter.

German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere reportedly banned "True Religion" on the territory of Germany, which was accused of spreading radial Islamism.
