Anti-Obama protesters and Greek police have clashed in Athens during Obama's visit after some demostrators threw Molotov cocktails.

Riot police fired tear gas at protesters in Athens near the presidential mansion where Obama was hosted for an official banquet.

At least 4,000 protesters have been seen at the site, some of them are holding banners "Unwanted!" Banners against US President-elect Donald Trump and against racism and xenophobia are also seen at the protest.

The organizers of the march originally wanted to reach the US Embassy in Athens. All rallies have been banned in the center of the Greek capital during Obama's visit.
Some 5,000 Greek law enforcers have been deployed for the US president's visit.
