Joint NATO-Georgia military exercises pose a serious threat to peace and stability in the region, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The November 10-20 North Atlantic Treaty Organization-Georgia Exercise at the Joint Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC) near Tbilisi involve more than 250 troops from 13 NATO member states and two partner countries.

"Russia sees in this activity a serious threat to stability and peace in the region, Georgia's other neighbors — Abkhazia and South Ossetia — have repeatedly expressed their concerns," the ministry said in a statement.
