"The adjudicatory chamber of the Ethics Committee, chaired by Hans-Joachim Eckert, has banned Saoud Al-Mohannadi, Vice-President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) and a Vice-President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), for one year from all football-related activities on a national and international level. The ban comes into force immediately," FIFA said in a statement.
The decision by the chamber comes after Al-Mohannadi failed to cooperate as a witness in a third party proceedings and, thus, he was found guilty in violation of article 18 that regulates Duty of disclosure, cooperation and reporting as well as article 4 on General obligation to collaborate of the FIFA Code of Ethics (FCE).
As a result Al-Mohannadi was banned for one year and fined a monetary amount of 20,000 Swiss francs or $19,900.
