MOSCOW (Sputnik) — When asked whether Russia would allow a mission of observers to come to Crimea, Matvienko told reporters:
"We are not against foreign organizations and parties arriving in Crimea, but only if this is not used by certain structures as a politically biased tool."
A Ukraine-authored draft resolution is expected to be submitted to the UN General Assembly's consideration. The document calls for international monitoring of the human rights situation in Crimea.
