MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The issue of opposition figure Alexei Navalny possibly entering the Russian presidential race in two years is not on the Kremlin's agenda, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday.
"This is not a topic on our agenda," Peskov told reporters.
The Russian Supreme Court's presidium ruled on Wednesday to reconsider and retry Navalny's suspended sentence related to a 2009 embezzlement case.
"This is not our topic, I do not have an opinion. The presidential elections are still far off, this issue is not on our agenda. the presidential election will be in 2018," Peskov stressed.
