MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Syria's government troops are on an offensive against terrorists in the north of Syria's Aleppo, a militia source told RIA Novosti on Wednesday.

Militia detachments actively support Syria's military. Targeted artillery attacks on militants' fortifications precede the army's offensive. Militants are reportedly sustaining heavy losses in lives and hardware.
