According to US media reports, there is a split in Trump’s team, and two senior members of the national security team have already been forced to leave.
On October 11, it was announced that Vice-President-elect Mike Pence was appointed head of the transition team instead of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who ran against Trump for the Republican presidential nomination before supporting his one-time rival.
Republican Trump secured a victory in the US presidential election on November 8 with 290 electoral votes against his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton's 232. Trump's inauguration will be held on January 20, 2017.
