During a break in the game between home side hockey club ‘Amur’ from Khabarovsk and ‘Sibir’ from Novosibirsk, the suited security guard first appears stern-faced and focused, but when he recognizes the beat of the Michael Jackson’s ‘Billie Jean’, it seems he just cannot control himself.
The guard’s lively dancing made the public forget about the game, and the video went viral on social media.
However some users expressed their doubts that an ordinary security guard could move like that. The head of HC ‘Amur’ press-service Alexey Chechelev admitted that the man was not a real guard.
“He is an actor and a dancer. We hired him to demonstrate to our fans that the staff support the team too. And it look like the public liked the joke,” he said.
The match itself finished 4:3 to Sibir. The KHL is considered to be the biggest hockey league outside of North America’s National Hockey League (NHL) and features 29 teams from Belarus, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Slovakia, China, Latvia, and Finland.
