The foam flowed from a flooded hangar at the San Jose International Airport and leaked into the streets, invading the 300 block of Martin Avenue. Several cars were completely covered with the white reflective substance.
A local fire department reported that the foam was caused by a malfunction during testing of a fire-suppression system in a new hangar at the airport.
