MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian side does not plan to discuss the issue of anti-Russian sanctions with anyone in Lima on the sidelines of the APEC summit, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Friday.
"We have repeatedly said and President [Vladimir] Putin has stressed it, that the sanctions are not our issue, we have never initiated such sanctions dialogue. The Russian side does not have any plans to raise this issue in contacts with anyone," Peskov told journalists.
"So, assuming that this is not our issue, it does not prevent us from building the dialogue and continuing the dialogue on matters that are of interest to us, to Russia," he said when asked whether there would be discussions with US President Barack Obama following reports that Obama and the European leaders agreed to extend sanctions against Moscow.
