Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida will visit Russia on December 3 to hold a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.

TOKYO (Sputnik) — According to the Kyodo news agency, the meeting will be held to discuss preparations for the Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Japan on December 15-16.

A source in the Russian Foreign Ministry told RIA Novosti that the possibility of the meeting was "being explored" by the sides.
