MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Saudi-led international coalition announced earlier in the day that a 48-hour truce would start at 09:00 GMT.
"Private at Facilities Security Forces, Adel Bahlol Khardli, was exposed to fire from an unknown source, resulting in the martyrdom of him," the Interior Ministry's security spokesman said in statement, as quoted by Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Yemen has been engulfed in a violent conflict between the government headed by Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi and the Houthi movement, the country’s main opposition force, who are backed by army units loyal to former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Since March 2015, the Saudi-led coalition of mostly Persian Gulf countries has been carrying out airstrikes against the Houthis at Hadi's request.
