If the former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had won the US presidential election 2016, there would have been dire consequences for France's economy, Marine Le Pen, France's National Front party leader, said on Sunday.

Marine Le Pen: Hillary Clinton Means War

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Le Pen has previously expressed her appreciation of US President-elect Donald Trump's views, which imply withdrawal from the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), easing international tensions, particularly with Russia, and putting an end to military operations, which have provoked migration waves.

"Clinton's victory would have affected France and Transatlantic Free Trade Area, in particular," Le Pen said in the interview with France 3.

In addition, the National Front leader accused Clinton of manipulating the former French president Nicolas Sarkozy to aide Islamists in Libya.
