MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A police sergeant has been critically shot in St. Louis in the US state of Missouri, the local police department said Sunday.
"A police officer has been shot and is conscious and being treated at the hospital," the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department tweeted.
Police said the attacker drove alongside the officer’s car and fired shots inside the vehicle, striking the lawman. The gunman is on the run. The attacked officer is 46 years old and has 20 years of service. His condition was described as critical but stable.
